Create a successful blog! This is one of the most easiest
ways to generate traffic to a huge resource of people who love to read. Why
do you think sites like google, yahoo, msn have news pages? People want to
know things and will search these types of outlets to find what they want.
STEP 1.
If you are going to create a blog that actually does well in the
search engines and generates traffic it is best to have your blog directly
on your site. Why is this important? Well, your back links don't count
unless the blog is on your own server!
There are 2 sites that allow this and it is easy to manage (with a little
knowledge of ftp and basic configurations of course).
- Blogger
- WordPress
There may be more but I have not used these yet so if you have any recommendations
feel free to contact us regarding this information.
NOTE: if you are in need of a blog and just can't do it, contact
us as
well and we will give some further instructions or provide a simple service
to get you started. Soon we will add a service page to our site to offer
this as a normal service as long as the demand is high for this.
STEP 2:
It is also important to know about ping servers. Usually in your preferences
for your blogs you can add additional ping servers. If your blog program
does not offer this you can use other ping services like: PingOMatic. Here
is a current list of ping server:
Typical Ping Servers:

STEP 3:
Add your blog to "Blog Directories" Like this one here. These are great
services and usually cost mim of $5.00 per year - $25.00 per year. Some
will even offer free listings as long as you do a reciprocal link back.
This comunity of Blog Directories are incredible experience. Most sites
are only after their own needs and want to wipe out the rest of the competition.
Blog Directory owners are working together to build each other up, support
each other and provide their listers with additional resources to find
more blog directories.
Every time you list on a blog you will get a notice of some kind approving
your listing and referring you to more blog directories.
STEP 4:
Link to your service sites or product sites within your blog. Make sure
when posting your blogs that you make reference to your sites that make
you money. I am not saying do a sales pitch but at a simple statement once
in awhile like "these articles brought to you by Surreal
Blog" Notice I have a title and a link to my main site.
Editors Notes:
We will be adding as much information here as we can to help others build
successful blogs and direct them to the best directories. If you have any
comments or tips to add please send them our way by contacting
us today.
It is our goal to keep these directory services a strong resource for
all bloggers. |
